Abington Township Declares Snow Emergency

Abington Township has just declared a Snow Emergency that will be effective at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 until 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018.

During this time the township has prohibited all parking on designated Snow Emergency Routes in order to allow plow operators to clear the streets in a safe and efficient manner. Your car will be towed if it is parked on a Snow Emergency Routes after 4 p.m. at the owner’s expense. Residents, please clear your sidewalks of ice and snow within 24 hours of the end of the storm. Make sure fire hydrants on or near your property are clear that as well.  Please review the list of the Snow Emergency Routes below:

  • Mount Carmel (North Hills to Highland)
  • Woodland Road (Easton to Fitzwatertown)
  • Edge Hill Road (Moreland to Old Welsh)
  • Valley Road (Lower Moreland to Susquehanna)
  • Township Line Road ( York Rd to Filmore St.)
  • North Hills Avenue (Fitzwatertown Rd. to Moreland)
