Abington Township announced today that the Board of Commissioners will resume a public hearing regarding the proposed life care facility and nursing home at 1209 Rydal Road on Thursday, August 21 at 6:30pm at Penn State University’s Sutherland Building Auditorium located at 1600 Woodland Road.

The applicant, Willow Grove-based Chaverim Realty Partners, LLC, is requesting Conditional Use approval to permit Use E-10: Life Care Facility (Continuing Care) and Use E-12: Nursing Home in the R-1 Low-Density Residential Zoning District.

Chaverim purchased the property in 2019 for $600,000. The meeting is a continuation from a January 2024 hearing and a November 2023 hearing, among others.
