Mrs. Carlee Dougherty, a family and consumer science teacher at Abington Middle School, was featured today by 6ABC News for her ‘Felt Monster Project’.

According to the story, Abington kindergarteners fill out worksheets in which they design, name, and create a personality for their own unique monster. Dougherty’s students then learn sewing skills to create a three-dimensional doll of each monster before giving it to the kindergarten designers.
