Wyncote native Taylor Brown attended the 2023 USA women’s U16 national team trials in Colorado Springs on Thursday, May 25.

Brown, who attends Ursuline Academy in Delaware, is one of 55 athletes participate in the tryout, and two of four players to represent the Class of 2027. She contributed to Ursuline’s varsity team as an eighth grader.

Brown has received college offers from Harvard, Delaware, and Columbia. She averaged 12.3 points this season for Ursuline Academy. She additionally competes for Philly Rise Girls Basketball Club.

The final 12-player roster is expected to be announced on May 30. A preliminary 22-person roster was announced yesterday. Brown’s name does not appear.
