The Mad Mex at 2862 West Moreland Road in Willow Grove announced earlier this year:

We have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our Mad Mex Willow Grove location effective January 25, 2023 due to ongoing challenges that we have been facing since the start of the COVID pandemic.

We will use the time of this temporary closure to consider the best way to reopen and move forward. Thank you for your patience, and we hope to see you again soon.

We noticed that the site is up for lease as of Thursday, May 11, though Google still lists the restaurant as ‘Temporarily closed.’

Mad Mex Willow Grove first opened in 2011. Its closure joins Mad Mex Oakland (Pittsburgh), which shut down in February, and Mad Mex Wynnewood, which shut down in 2020.
