Verity A. Beck, 44, of Jenkintown, who is accused of fatally shooting and dismembering her elderly parents in January, took part in a preliminary hearing on Friday in Montgomery County Court.

She has been held for trial and now faces an August 2 formal arraignment hearing. A judge will set her trial date after the August hearing.

The preliminary hearing had been postponed from April 6 to June 1, then postponed again until June 23.
