Upper Moreland Township is looking to hire an Executive Assistant to the Manager.

The Township has a vacancy for the position of Executive Assistant to the Township Manager. This position performs highly responsible and confidential administrative functions for the Township Manager requiring a broad knowledge of municipal policies, procedures and operations; thorough knowledge of general office procedures and advanced administrative and communication skills. The responsibilities of this position include overseeing the Township Manager’s office staff to coordinate secretarial needs of the Manager’s Office including, oversight and delegation of duties. Providing administrative support to elected and appointed officials in matters that include agenda items for formal action by the Board. Placing legal advertisements and other legislative items in compliance with the First-Class Township Code. Answering phones and greeting visitors to screen and direct as appropriate. Independently responding to complaints and assisting in resolving problems as needed. Perform duties related to support of Township Manager’s duties as the Public Information Officer. General administrative functions including correspondence, reports, filing, etc. Management of filing system for Manager’s office and Township, which include the handling of confidential information. Preparation of agendas and review of all materials and items for accuracy prior to distribution for public and special meetings. Ensuring all legal requirements are met. Scheduling and coordinating meetings and information between Township Management and Consultants. Record public notices, subdivision, resolutions and ordinances. Maintain appointment records for all boards, commissions and committees. Records maintenance of all Township related records associated with Manager’s office. Maintain and post notices, events and other information on Township Website, Social Media Accounts and Cable Channel. Maintain all official calendars and reserve Township rooms for both internal and external use.
