BHC Chicken, a South Korean franchise chain, is now open at Yorktown Plaza in Elkins Park.
BHC stands for “Better & Happier Choice”. According to Business Korea, the store spans approximately 165 square yards and is the chain’s first in Pennsylvania.
From their coverage:
In addition to established fan favorites such as Ppuringkle and Matzzoking chicken, the store features combo menus pairing wings and tenders, cuts preferred by local customers. A platter menu that allows diners to enjoy chicken and cheese balls together in a single order has also been introduced to broaden customer choices.
A parallel strategy to promote Korean flavors is also in place. Representative Korean dishes such as tteokbokki and kimchi fried rice have been incorporated into the menu, and a total of eight different dipping sauces are offered in recognition of American dining culture’s preference for sauce-based accompaniments.
A grand opening was held on October 19.
