Upper Moreland girls LAX captures first Surburban One League title in 22 years

The Upper Moreland girls lacrosse team took down Upper Dublin High School in a 10-9 overtime victory Monday night. The win forced a three-way tie in the Suburban One League American conference.

Upper Moreland led by two three times – 2-0, 5-3 and 7-5 – while Upper Dublin’s largest lead was one goal – 3-2, 8-7 and 9-8.

Upper Moreland, Upper Dublin and Springfield Montco were all 9-1 in league play going into the last game of the season on Wednesday. With an 18-3 win over William Tennent, the team clinched the league title, its first in 22 years.
