Philly Burbs recently shared the area’s top high school sports performances of the week, some of which include athletes from Upper Moreland, Abington, and Germantown Academy.

Girls Soccer

Willow Taylor, Upper Moreland: Taylor scored a pair of goals to propel the Golden Bears past Cheltenham, 4-1.

Boys Soccer

Jose Rosario Martinez, Abington: After more than 90 minutes of scoreless play, Rosario-Martinez netted the game-winner in OT to give the Ghosts a 1-0 victory against Upper Dublin.

Oscar Hoffmann, Abington: Hoffmann delivered a pair of goals to lead the Ghosts to a 4-1 victory over Wissahickon.

Volleyball

Angie Wang, Germantown Academy: The senior dished out 14 assists and served eight aces to lead the defending Inter-Ac champs to a season-opening sweep of Shipley School.
