This weekend at The Royal: Holiday Trivia + Toys for Tots & Chris Hamsher’s Celebration of Life

Friday, December 2 from 8:00 – 11:00pm:
Holiday Trivia + Toys for Tots | Hosted by Len Blazick and Paul Pfender

Doors will open at 7:30pm for a few rounds of holiday trivia with Len Blazick and Paul Pfender. Guests are invited to bring and donate new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots, which The Royal will be supporting through the evening’s event.

Saturday, December 3 from 8:00 – 11:00pm:
An Evening with Lev & Friends, Celebrating the Life of Chris Hamsher

This sold-out event will be offering a virtual live stream option to celebrate the life of Mr. Chris Hamsher, an eighth grade English teacher at Abington schools for more than 20 years. Mr. Hamsher passed away on October 4 after a 10-month battle with Covid.

Josh Levandoski and an assortment of local musicians will pay tribute to Mr. Hamsher’s life.

All profits from the evening will be donated to the NIAID gift fund for Long Covid Research. To contribute to Mr. Hamsher’s memorial fund, you can visit the GoFundMe page here.

BYOB Policy:

The Ways Restaurant & Brewery will be selling beer both evenings. No outside beer will be permitted at the event, and BYO-Wine is allowed with a $10 corkage fee.

Parking:

Guests of The Royal are permitted to park in the lot behind St. Paul’s Lutheran Church off of Mt. Carmel Avenue. At-your-own risk parking is available at the Glenside Train Station. Street parking is also available.
