The Suite Spot Beauty Bar, a new beauty, cosmetic & personal care service in Elkins Park, official opened on August 7.

Niya Smith, co-owner and licensed nail technician and esthetician, and co-owner Chante Moore-Torres, also a licensed nail technician, are still getting the word out about their business.

“We’re getting a lot more people coming in and wanting to check out the place. We’re both starting fresh in this business with clientele, so we’re taking it slow,” Smith said. “We’re meeting new people and making new connections.”

Smith’s mother is the owner of the building at 7850 Montgomery Avenue, and the family duo expects to expand their services within the space.

“Right now, it’s a nail salon and skincare spa, and we plan on having multiple suites within the building, each with its own business under the same roof,” Smith said. “We may bring in lash technicians, hair stylists, massage therapists. It could be anything at this point. There are lots of possibilities.”

Smith, a Willow Grove native and graduate of Upper Dublin High School, hopes that the grand opening will draw some additional exposure their way.

“That Sunday is also Arts in the Park, and we wanted to coincide with that. We’d like for people to stop in and get to know us a little bit and see what we offer,” she said.
