The Greenwood Cutting Room, a hair studio owned by Jenkintown resident Robert Defazio, is set to open for its first day of business on Saturday, August 19.

Defazio spent the last 14 years at Taire Hair Salon in Huntingdon Valley until he decided to go out on his own.

“We’ll probably do a grand opening event sometime in September,” he said.

The studio, which services children and adults, will be offering 20 percent off to all new clients who mention this article.

According to Bizapedia.com, the studio filed an application with the Borough on June 29.

“I’m so proud to be opening in and servicing Jenkintown,” Defazio said. “I’ve been here for about three years. My brother lives around the corner.”
