St. Luke CYO Track and Field Boys crowned Green Region Champions, Boys & Girls combined take 2nd overall

The St. Luke CYO Track and Field Boys of Glenside team was crowned the CYO Green Region Champions on Sunday, May 5 at the Archdiocese of Philadelphia CYO Green Region Championships at Hatboro Horsham High School.

The combined Boys and Girls teams took second place overall out of 11 parishes.

Gold medals went to the following competitors:

  • Jaxon Campbell – Novice Boys – 100 meter & High Jump
  • Zachary Morgan – Novice Boys – 800 meter & 1600 meter
  • Olivia Hungarter – Novice Girls – High Jump
  • Ben Kushner – Minor Boys – Shot Put
  • Colin Flood – Minor Boys – High Jump
  • Violet Gregorio – Minor Girls – Shot Put
  • Thomas Mancini – Cadet Boys – High Jump
  • Devon Donato – Cadet Girls – Shot Put
  • Cadet Girls 4×100 meter relay team: Wynne Campbell, Devon Donato, Alexa Cieplinski, Kiersten Ehnow

“I am incredibly proud of our team. We talked a lot about needing everyone’s contributions for the team to have success and that is exactly what happened,” Dave Hungarter, St. Luke CYO Track and Field Head Coach, said. “It was a total team effort and I couldn’t be happier for the kids, coaches and families.”


The teams move on to the Area III Championship meet on Saturday, May 18.

“We hope to have as many kids as possible qualify for the season-ending Archdiocese of Philadelphia Track and Field Championships on Saturday, June 1 at Franklin Field in Philadelphia,” Hungarter said.
