Shoppers showed up hours ahead of time outside of Vinyl Chickie in Glenside to buy a piece of a record collection owned by Pierre Robert, the 93.3 WMMR radio host who died in October, CBS News reported.
Store owner Lisa Schaffer announced earlier this month that she’ll be selling the entire collection on Saturday, April 18, beginning at 10:00am. Included in the collection were over 350 vinyl records, two box sets, and over 250 CDs.
According to CBS News, Mike Veltri of Jenkintown was the first in line shortly after 10:00pm Friday. Other shoppers brought lawn chairs and coolers.
