Senator Art Haywood, who district office is in Abington Township, attended a prayer vigil today outside of the ICE field office in Philadelphia.
“I know some individuals who are working for ICE. They were recruited into the FBI, some into the ATF and other law enforcement agencies. They never had intentions to work for ICE, but they were commandeered. We need to recognize them and their families as well,” Haywood said.
“I know there’s quite a bit of spreading of hate. I’m glad to be a part of this vigil which is lifting up those who have been detained, those who are now working for ICE,” he said. “It is a call to stop the raids.”
