Montgomery County health officials announced that mosquito spraying will take place in a section of Abington Township on Wednesday, August 20 from approximately 8:00pm to 11:00pm.

The sprayed area will be between Old Welsh Road, Easton Road, Rockwell Road, Rothley Avenue, Hamilton Avenue, and Woodland Road. A map is below:

Residents within the spray area should consider remaining indoors, closing windows, and turning off ventilation systems that draw outside air for the duration of the spray plus 30 minutes afterward, officials said. The spray will be performed by OPH personnel.

Residents may contact OPH at 610.278.5117 or publichealth@montgomerycountypa.gov if they are concerned about an area of standing water that may be breeding mosquitoes.
