Multiple crews extinguish house fire in Rockledge, resident safely evacuated

The Rockledge Fire Company announced that multiple crews extinguished a house fire at the 100 block of Blake Avenue in Rockledge around 12:44am this morning.

Units found fire showing from the basement walk-out of a two-story twin dwelling. Officials said the property’s resident was safely evacuated and the fire was extinguished at approximately 3:00am.

“McKinley’s crew performed a primary search of the exposure side of the twin house, and then accessed the roof in case vertical ventilation was needed,” McKinley Fire Company’s post said. “The incident was quickly brought under control by units on scene and the resident was able to safely evacuate the home.”
