Recent Abington grad named Congressional Gold Award recipient

Sébastien Guillotin, a recent graduate of Abington Senior High School, has been named a recipient of the Congressional Gold Award on behalf of the U.S. Congress.

The award encourages young people to set challenging goals, find balance in their lives, learn time management and networking, and enjoy the thrill of adventure travel for a lifetime of productive citizenship.

Rep. Madeleine Dean’s office said they worked with Guillotin on a voter project that encouraged recent grads to be civically engaged.

Guillotin, an incoming freshman at the Rochester Institute of Technology, has served as a Project Manager for the Congressional Voter Registration Program (U.S. House of Representatives) since 2022, according to his LinkedIn page.

At Abington, he was a member of the National Honor Society (NHS), NHS Peer Tutoring – Chemistry, Math, English, Social Studies; the Key Club (Community Service), Jazz Band, and the Link Crew (Freshmen Orientation and Counseling).

He is also an Eagle Scout.
