The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) announced the opening of Meadowbrook Farm, located at 1633 Washington Lane in Jenkintown, for the spring season.

The 21-acre estate harbors a number of gardens featuring plants from around the world, as well as xeric beds, an herb garden, a stone wall garden, and more than a dozen other “garden rooms” filled with seasonal annuals, bulbs, and perennials.

Visitors can also check out the artistry of cloud and espalier-pruned trees, calming water features, and the ambient sounds of nature.

The farm is open seasonally from mid-April to mid-October and offers free admission.

Hours:

• Wednesday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Thursday:  10:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Friday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Saturday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Sunday – Tuesday: CLOSED
