Philadelphia Federal Credit Union is looking to hire a full-time Universal Branch Associate at 259 S. Easton Road Glenside.

Job Description:

  • Position Title: Universal Branch Associate
  • Job Type: Full-Time | Classification: Non-Exempt
  • Salary: $18.00 per hour *based on experience
  • $2.00 differential pay is applied to Saturday hours

As a member of this team, your primary responsibility is to serve and satisfy the credit union members.  This includes whether your job involves dealing with members directly or providing service to someone who does. You will provide prompt, efficient and courteous service to members while processing transactions, answering questions and cross servicing.

Essential Functions & Basic Duties

  • Greet members and guests to the credit union in a professional and courteous manner while providing general information and cross selling products and services.
  • Assist members to open new accounts and advise potential members of credit union membership requirements.
  • Support all branch sales initiatives to achieve assigned goals, meets or exceeds established referral and sales goals.
  • Perform various member transactions including but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, certificate transactions, advances from loans, transfers, account maintenance, and plastic requests, process mail payments and express deposits as needed.
  • Comply with all REG’s, and complete the forms needed for various transactions as required by the Bank Secrecy Act, Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), Federal Government and/or credit union policies and procedures.
  • Complete assigned PATS and TCR courses in accordance with position development guidelines
  • Maintains current knowledge of  PFCU products and services.
  • Maintains current knowledge of policies and procedures, Symitar Core System updates, Akcelerent Loan System, Visa Card System and other systems as position requires.
  • Inform, educate and cross sell members on technological services offered by PFCU emphasizing service features and member benefits.
  • Open new membership accounts in accordance with PFCU policies and procedures.
  • Originate, process, sign and disburse loans via the Akcelerent loan origination system.
  • Adhere to PFCU’s loan policy and loan guidelines.
  • Ability to research and clearly explain events on account through transaction review, account note interpretation and contacting back office departments and/or supervisors as necessary for assistance.
  • Ability to login to contact center queue to receive, handle and resolve member calls on a full time or relief basis as determined necessary.
  • Resolves member inquiries and request for assistance within 24 business hours in accordance with PFCU’s Strategic Operations Plan.
  • Maintain member confidence and protect credit union operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Assist in miscellaneous back office duties to include, but not limited to, ATM settlement, daily cash letter, branch reconcilement, and daily settlement of money orders.
  • Completes periodic training/certification on and complies with various regulations to include but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Reg CC, Reg D, Truth in Lending, CIP, ect.
  • Must minimize risk of cash differences and controllable losses by following policies to include but not limited to New Account Opening/ Identification, Cash Withdrawal, Loan Policy/Loan Guidelines.
  • Must set personal goals, work effectively, meet deadlines and manage workload in a productive manner.
  • Responsible for keeping work area and all branch areas neat and professional at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimal High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A minimum of 12 months previous exposure to handling cash and dealing with the public, preferably in a financial institution.
  • PC proficiency required, with strong skills in Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to remain calm, friendly and professional through any and all situations.
  • The ability to listen and assess needs of the member.
  • The ability to follow instructions and directives.
  • Well-developed sales skills(probing, supporting, overcoming objections and closing).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Possess creative problem solving skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be available to travel from branch to branch as needed.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
