PA House narrowly approves $15 minimum wage, Senate to vote next

Pennsylvania’s Democratic-controlled House of Representatives narrowly approved a bill to raise the minimum wage to $15 by 2026.

The bill passed 103-100 and now has to go through a Republican-controlled Senate. As it stands, wages would gradually increase from $7.25 to $11 in 2024, then to $13 in 2025 and finally to $15 in 2026.

Pennsylvania’s minimum wage has been set at the federal minimum of $7.25 since 2009.
