Exalted Beauty is coming soon to 7852 Montgomery Avenue in Elkins Park.
Owner Sam Jordan, a Philadelphia resident, told Glenside Local she found the location after visiting nearby Goat House Creamery with her 12-year-old son.
“We like to frequent Jenkintown and Abington. We go sightseeing around here all the time,” she said. “The spot looked perfect, so I took it.”
Jordan said she signed a lease in August and has been working on the space’s interior since December. The property also underwent light renovations over the winter of 2025 after FoodChasers’ Kitchen, the location’s former next-door inhabitant, closed for good in September 2024.
“We were having an issue with Unit 2. Now that we got that squared away, we should be good to go. The inspector is coming tomorrow and we expect to open in the morning,” she said.
A graduate of Empire Beauty School, Jordan said she received her cosmetology license in 2008 after studying under a well known coloring salon in Philadelphia.
“We’re a natural hair salon. I retail products with no preservatives, chemicals, or toxins. We have a full hair care line and we offer color, shampoo and blow-dry for all ethnicities and all ages,” Jordan said. “I have 35 plus years of hair care experience. My standing clients have been with me for over 20 years.”
