Mrs. Sandra Brodsky, Glenside Fire Company board member, preschool teacher in Fort Washington, has passed away at 70

The Glenside Fire Company announced the passing of Mrs. Sandra Brodsky, a Board of Directors member since 2019. She was 70 years old.

Mrs. Brodsky received a Masters degree in Recreational Therapy from Temple University and, after relocating to New England for 30 years, returned to the Philadelphia area in 2014 after being diagnosed with a life-altering congenital heart condition, according to her obituary.

She served as a volunteer at the Meadowood Senior Living health center in Lansdale, organized major fundraising events for the Glenside Fire Company, and taught preschoolers at the Lubavitch of Montgomery County Chabad Garden School in Fort Washington, her obituary said.

“Sandy joined the board in 2019 after moving back into the area and was willing to assist the company in any way that she could, most recently chairing our 125th Anniversary celebration. She will be deeply missed,” the company said in a post.

Services were held on Tuesday January 6, her obituary said.
