Mr. Richard John Watanabe, a life member of the Glenside Fire Company and a veteran of the Army National Guard, passed away from kidney failure on Tuesday, November 4. He was 84.

“He worked for Buten Paints for 20 years, rising to the position of Assistant Supervisor of Stores before leaving to purchase Emmaus Beverages,” his obituary said. “After selling the company, he worked part-time for the Quakertown School District delivering food to various schools.”

Memorial service details were not included in the obituary.
