Man sentenced for financially exploiting an elderly Upper Dublin Township man

Damian Sincere Aime, 22, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to 3 to 23 months in prison for financially exploiting an elderly Upper Dublin Township man in January 2024, The Reporter said.

According to their coverage, Aime worked as a home health aide for Aveanna Healthcare and made $7,074 worth of unauthorized cash withdrawals and purchases using the victim’s bank accounts. He pleaded guilty to a felony charge of financial exploitation of an older adult or care dependent person.

An investigation began when the victim’s daughter reported to Upper Dublin police that her father’s bank account had been compromised. The initial investigation determined Aime made $4,490 in unauthorized cash withdrawals at an ATM at a Fort Washington area Wawa, The Reporter said.

The investigation also determined that Aime used the victim’s Amazon account to purchase $1,846 worth of items and used the victim’s Best Buy credit card without the victim’s permission to make several unauthorized purchases.
