Alvin Clifton Morton, 40, of the 7100 block of North 15th Street, was sentenced to 10 years’ probation after admitting to trafficking cocaine in Upper Moreland between August 2018 and March 2019.
Detectives learned from anonymous sources that Morton “cooks up the crack cocaine in his residence,” and that Morton was the supply source for cocaine sales in Upper Dublin’s North Hills. Morton was found to be in possession of 397.7 grams of cocaine, a felony charge with intent to deliver.
According to the arrest affidavit, detectives found numerous bags of cocaine hydrochloride and crack cocaine, a digital scale, and other forms of contraband in Morton’s apartment.
Morton’s investigation was conducted by the Montgomery County Detective Bureau’s Narcotics Enforcement Team and the district attorney’s Local Drug Task Force which includes officers from Upper Moreland, Upper Dublin and Abington townships, and the Philadelphia Police Narcotics Unit.
