BOOK IT! announced on Instagram that the program will reopen for enrollment starting May 1.
The program, open for kids in pre-K through 6th grade, will run from June 1 to August 31. Parents can sign kids up through the BOOK IT! App which was launched last year. Readers who hit their milestones will be provided digital Reading Award Certificates, which are redeemable for a free, one-topping Personal Pan Pizza® from Pizza Hut.
The program originated in the mid-1980s when Pizza Hut’s leadership discussed renewed calls for literacy support from then-President Ronald Reagan, according to People.com.

During the summer months of June, July, and August, any child that meets their parent-set reading goals can earn a free Pizza Hut® single topping Personal Pan Pizza®* from participating locations. Use the BOOK IT!® Mobile App to set goals, track progress, and redeem rewards.
