Lower Moreland police grant 6 soliciting permits to Power Home Remodeling

The Lower Moreland Police Department announced today that it has issued six new soliciting permits to Power Home Remodeling, a Chester, PA-based firm which specializes in exterior services.

The permits will expire September 24, 2024, the department said.

From the announcement:

All soliciting permits are valid for a period of 30 Days and prior to approval an extensive process is followed to ensure to the best of our ability that the solicitors have been vetted.  Every solicitor is issued a physical permit that should be visible and available at all times.  They are all provided with copies of our Township Ordinance as well as any residences that are on our “No Solicitation” list.  We encourage anyone experiencing overly aggressive or suspicious solicitations to contact the Police Department or 911 immediately.

Huntingdon Valley residents beware: Last year, 6ABC reported last year that its Action News Troubleshooters team had received more than 30 complaints about Power Home Remodeling since 2010. Complaints ranged from the company’s alleged failure to honor its warranties to disorganized responses to replacement requests.

Architecturaldigest.com, however, gives the company a thumbs up:

We’re impressed with the company’s high customer ratings: 4.5 out of 5 stars on BBB out of more than 3,800 reviews and 4.6 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot out of more than 12,500 reviews. These customer ratings are among the most impressive we’ve seen in the industry. Power also holds an A+ rating from BBB and has been accredited with the bureau since 2012.

Power Home Remodeling is not an MLM scam. It’s a fully legitimate company accredited with BBB for over a decade. Unlike MLM companies, Power Home Remodeling does not rely on a non-salaried workforce. While some positions are paid on commission, others are salaried or use a hybrid salary-commission model. The company offers a variety of career opportunities thanks to a traditional infrastructure, customer division, and in-house service center.

It’s also worth noting that Power has won dozens of national and regional awards, including from entities such as Fortune and Glassdoor. Many of these awards focus on its quality work or name it one of the best companies to work for. Customers can also review the company’s Bill of Rights, which outlines the company’s customer service philosophy in 10 points.
