Lower Moreland High School was featured by ABC News yesterday for crowning a senior with autism as their 2025 homecoming king.
A Huntingdon Valley resident wrote to ABC News, “I wanted to share a story from my hometown that truly captures the spirit of kindness and community. Last week my neighbor Justin was crowned homecoming king. What makes this moment so special is that Justin is autistic. He’s always been a little different from his peers.”
Justin expressed gratitude for the honor.
“I’m gonna be honest with you. It’s really gratifying, this opportunity. I’m really proud of those who rallied around the school and voted for me. And I wanted to thank you, too, for putting us on the news,” he said.
