Teen CEO of Dahlgren Social forging new partnerships with local businesses

Asher Dahlgren, a junior at Springfield Township High School in Wyndmoor, founded his own social media marketing business in early 2023.

The company—Dahlgren Social—aims to “positively impact the community and inspire other young entrepreneurs,” its owner says.

16 years old and already a CEO, Dahlgren started off as a freelancer with a local Real Estate agent in 2022. After he got his feet wet, he started branding himself as an agency.

“I’m a problem solver, and I love working with other business owners. To me, entrepreneurship is about finding ways to maximize value,” Dahlgren said. “Young people like myself are really good with social media, and I coupled that knowledge with actively learning about marketing and targeting the right audience. It went from there.”

Dalhgren Social current works with 10 clients, a roster that include Real Estate agents, a nonprofit, and local businesses like Avant Apres in Flourtown, Natural Body Essentials in Flourtown, and Fill A Bagel in Jenkintown/Oreland (Dahlgren is pictured above with Fill A Bagel’s owner Vicki Ard).

The company offers Content Creation, Community Management, and Strategy & Analytics to its customers.

“I’ve always had a knack for digital marketing, which is something not everyone understands,” he said. “Owners shouldn’t have to do that themselves. They can delegate those responsibilities to people like me.”
