Junkluggers Willow Grove co-workers enter not guilty pleas in fatal home invasion trial, death penalty waived by prosecution

Kelvin Roberts Jr., 42, of Philadelphia, and Charles Edward Fulforth, 41, of the Jenkintown section of Abington Township, entered not guilty pleas on Wednesday, February 26 to charges of first- and second-degree murder, attempted murder, robbery, burglary and conspiracy in connection with their alleged roles in the December 8, 2024, fatal home invasion at a residence in Lower Merion, Mainline Media News reported today.

The homeowner suffered gunshot wounds and survived the attack. Her adult son was fatally shot during the invasion, officials said in December.

Prosecutors will not seek a death sentence if Roberts or Fulforth are convicted of first-degree murder, though they will face life imprisonment, Mainline Media said.

Jeremy Fuentes, 26, of Philadelphia (above right), who allegedly provided information to Roberts and Fulforth in connection with the robbery, waived his formal arraignment hearing and his defense lawyer entered not guilty pleas on Fuentes’ behalf. He faces charges of second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit burglary.

A judge set July 21 as the trial date for all three men, who will remain in the county jail without bail while awaiting trial.

The trio were coworkers at Junkluggers in the Willow Grove section of Upper Moreland Township. Authorities uncovered their gun trafficking organization during the Lower Merion homicide investigation, Mainline Media said.
