Jenkintown to host meeting over SEPTA’s clearcutting

A meeting has been scheduled for 6:00pm on November 1 at Jenkintown Borough Hall to discuss issues related to the SEPTA-driven deforestation of natural buffer trees and wildlife along properties on the 200-300 blocks of Runnymede Avenue in Jenkintown. Area residents are encouraged to attend and voice their concerns.

The photo above shows last week’s clearcutting along the Abington Township side of the tracks. The Jenkintown side of the tracks is next on the chopping block.
