The Jenkintown Police Department has issued the following announcement for today:

Please be advised that Tuesday 6/4 traffic and parking will be restricted in parts of the Borough to accommodate for the annual 5k race.

Officers will be posted at major intersections to insure the safety of the runners. Some detours will also be in place along roads like: Leedom Street, Summit Avenue, Runnymede Ave, West Avenue at train station area, Mather Road and Town Square area.

Race begins promptly at 7pm, traffic flow should return to normal by 8:30 PM.
