Jenkintown parking enforcement officer recently helped deliver a baby

A Jenkintown parking enforcement officer helped deliver a baby while working at York Road and West Avenue just before noon on September 10th.

From Jenkintown Police Chief Albert DiValentino:

I am extremely happy and proud of our Parking Enforcement Officer Linda Bennett. While Linda was on her post today at York Road and West Avenue at 11:54 AM, a frantic motorist advised her that his niece was in active labor. Linda told him to pull over onto West Avenue. Linda immediately tended to the young lady in the car, and delivered a healthy baby girl. Mom and baby transported to Abington Hospital by Second Alarmers, who arrived as baby was peacefully sleeping on moms chest. Job Well Done Linda.
