6ABC Action News covered the story of a Jenkintown mother and son’s experience at a Boston Market on June 10th. According to the report, an employee called the police on the 10-year-old son for not wearing a mask. The son is non-verbal, has Down syndrome, and has sensory issues.
The two were in the restaurant because their car had broken down and it was extremely hot. They asked if they could sit inside until a ride arrived. Abington Township police ended up driving the mother and son home.
