The Ukrainian Learning Center for Children and Precious One’s Child Care Center Inc. in Jenkintown, along with Cedar Tree Child Care of Elkins Park, were recognized in the 2023 Early Childhood Education Champion Awards on April 18 in Harrisburg.

The Ukraining Learning Center received a Gold Level honors during the ceremony. Precious One’s and Cedar Tree received Silver Level designations.

“Healthy and safe learning environments give our children a foundation to grow, and every child —regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background — should have the opportunity to learn and thrive,” state Human Services Acting Secretary Val Arkoosh said in a statement. “We cannot undersell the impact that diverse and inclusive early childhood education can make in helping a child celebrate their individual identity as well as on an entire family’s trajectory, and I am grateful to these dedicated professionals for their commitment to Pennsylvania’s children and future.”
