“The Jenkintown Borough Environmental Advisory Committee will meet at [Jenkintown] Borough Hall at 700 Summit Avenue, on Wednesday, December 5th at 7:00 PM,” according to a statement from the Borough.

“Due to residents having posted questions about possible contamination of our tap water by PFC’s (Perfluorooctane (PFOA) /Perfluorooctane Sulfonate (PFOS) on the Jenkintown Community Page, the Environmental Advisory Committee has placed the issue of water quality on the agenda for the monthly Environmental Advisory Committee meeting,” the statement continued.

“The Jenkintown Environmental Advisory Committee [will]…be pleased to share what is learned at the [Aqua Water proposed rate] hearing – regarding PFOA/PFOS or other water issues relevant to Borough residents,” according to the statement.

“We look forward to working with residents and experts to learn more about this issue,” the statement continued.
