The inaugural Glenside St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival kicks off on Saturday, March 8 at 1:00pm at Parkdale & Abington Avenues, making its way through Glenside before concluding in Keswick Village for a festival from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.
The event will feature Irish culture, music, food, and entertainment for all ages. Attendees can look forward to:
Performances by the Philadelphia Police & Fire Pipes and Drums and the Greater Kensington String Band
Irish dance performances by local dance schools
Live music across three festival stages
A beer garden, Irish pub, and food vendors
Family fun including Gaelic games, bounce houses, and more
“The response from the Glenside community has been incredible,” said Colleen McDermott, one of the lead organizers. “Seeing so many people come together to bring this event to life has been inspiring. Every committee member plays an important role, and the overwhelming community support has made this possible. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!”
