The Hiway Theater has partnered with Capricorn Books of Jenkintown to celebrate the release of the latest Stephen King novel, “You Like It Darker”, with a special screening of one of Stephen King’s movie adaptations, “The Shawshank Redemption”, on May 21 at 7:00pm.

The Hiway will host Stephen King trivia prior to the screening.

Adapted from a short story by writer Stephen King, Set in 1946, Tim Robbins plays a banker named Andy Dufresne, wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to life in state prison. Believing he will crack under pressure, a fellow inmate, played by Morgan Freeman, takes Andy under his wing as they navigate the hardships, sadness, joy, and friendships experienced behind bars. 30 years on, SHAWSHANK is considered one of King’s best big screen adaptations due to its engrossing story and sympathetic characters.

The new book will be on sale in the theater’s lobby and can be pre-ordered through Capricorn Books here.
