History with Chuck: Cheltenham grads with Super Bowl rings

As football fans gear up for Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11, local historian Chuck Langerman has shared three Cheltenham High School graduates who have received championship rings after their playing days in Wyncote.

The list includes Chad Levitt ’93, Fran Duffy ’04 and Brandon Bing ’07.

Levitt starred as a running back at Cornell University and was a member of coach Dick Vermeil’s St. Louis Rams when they bested the Tennessee Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000.

Duffy, a Temple University alum who works for the Philadelphia Eagles as a video production manager, collected his Super Bowl ring after the Eagles outlasted the Patriots, 41-33, in Super Bowl LII in 2018.

Bing (pictured above) played defensive back at Rutgers University before earning his Super Bowl ring as a member of the New York Giants when they defeated the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI in 2012.
