The Hatboro Borough Police Department announced today that officers conducted tobacco compliance checks on October 18 in conjunction with the Council of Southeast Pennsylvania. 

According to their report, the following businesses were cited for violation of the PA Crimes Code, Title 18 6305(a)(1) – Sale of Tobacco to Minors:

• Shaan Smoke Shop (1 N York Road)
• Hatboro Smoke Shop (11 S York Road)

The report notes that all borough retailers which have been assigned a tobacco license through the state of Pennsylvania are subject to compliance checks throughout the year. Repeated violations can result in loss of the tobacco license.
