Gov. Shapiro to release personal memoir titled ‘Where We Keep the Light: Stories From a Life of Service’ in January

Governor Josh Shapiro of Abington Township is releasing a new memoir titled “Where We Keep the Light: Stories From a Life of Service” on January 27, 2026.

The book will cover his political career, personal life, and reflections on events like the arson attack at the Governor’s Mansion in April 2025. It will also discuss his time on the 2024 vice-presidential shortlist

According to Harper, the book’s publisher, Shapiro “shares powerful stories about his family, his faith, and his career in public service.”

“Gov. Shapiro reflects on what he has learned along his journey,” Tuesday’s announcement reads in part, “knocking on doors, serving his community, and bringing people together to tackle the tough problems we face.”
