Governor Josh Shapiro signed 24 bipartisan bills into law on Monday, July 20.
Those bills include HB 482, HB 858, HB 1102, HB 1286, HB 1646, HB 1830, HB 1851, HB 1860, HB 1862, HB 2017, HB 2024, HB 2426, HB 2559, SB 45, SB 130, SB 331, SB 349, SB 511, SB 779, SB 992, SB 1058, SB 1181, SB 1294, and SB 1353.

House Bill 482
An Act authorizing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to join the Interstate Compact; providing for the form of the compact; and imposing additional powers and duties on the Governor, the Secretary of the Commonwealth and the Compact.
House Bill 858
An Act amending Title 68 (Real and Personal Property) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for county property contact information list; imposing duties on chief assessor; and providing for penalties.
House Bill 1102
An Act amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in military educational programs relating to medical officer or health officer incentive program, further providing for definitions, for establishment of program, for program stipend, for additional incentives, for recoupment of incentive payments, for adjustment of stipend amounts and for eligibility; and making editorial changes.
House Bill 1286
An Act amending the act of October 25, 2012 (P.L.1618, No.197), known as the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline Notification Act, further providing for definitions; providing for training requirements for public lodging establishments and for training requirements for third-party listing platforms and rental operators; further providing for enforcement, for violation, for affirmative defenses, for administrative penalties and for criminal penalties; and imposing duties on the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.
House Bill 1646
An Act amending the act of June 19, 1931 (P.L.589, No.202), referred to as the Barbers’ License Law, further providing for State Board of Barber Examiners.

An Act amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in other required equipment, further providing for flashing or revolving lights on tow trucks and for identification of certain vehicles.

Senate Bill 1058

An Act amending the act of June 22, 1931 (P.L.594, No.203), referred to as the Township State Highway Law, adding a route in Dauphin County and in York County.
Senate Bill 1294
An Act amending the act of December 15, 1986 (P.L.1585, No.174), known as the Private Licensed Schools Act, further providing for penalties.
Senate Bill 1353
An Act amending the act of December 22, 1983 (P.L.306, No.84), known as the Board of Vehicles Act, in preliminary provisions, further providing for definitions; and, in vehicles, further providing for unlawful acts by manufacturers or distributors, for area of responsibility and for limitations on establishing or relocating dealers.
“Even with one of the only divided legislatures in the country, we are still showing that we can come together to get stuff done for Pennsylvanians,” Shapiro said. “I’m proud of the work we’ve done together to cut red tape for working Pennsylvanians, address critical workforce shortages, expand support for survivors of sexual assault, and ensure our veterans can access the benefits they’ve earned through their service.”
Shapiro signed three new House bills and three new Senate bills into law in May, followed by an additional 19 laws in June. The new laws bring Shapiro’s count to 49 for the year.
