Glenside Knight Food Truck Festival & Festivities for Arcadia President Inauguration

This year’s annual Glenside Knight Food Truck Festival is on Thursday, October 11, featuring great food, music, and art. This year’s festivities coincide with the inauguration of Arcadia’s 22nd president, Dr. Ajay Nair.

The Festival starts at 5:30 and runs until to 9:00 pm on Easton Road and Glenside Avenue; in and around Wesley Plaza. There will be a wide variety of food from local restaurants and food truck vendors. The rain date is Saturday, October 13.

The annual Glenside Food Truck Festival is a partnership between Cheltenham Township, the Downtown Glenside Community Partnership and Arcadia University that welcomes back Arcadia students to the Glenside neighborhood.

This year’s festivities will include local musicians and marching bands; a welcome for Arcadia’s new president, Dr. Ajay Nair; and a lighting ceremony for second mural by Arcadia students and adjunct professor David Guinn at the Glenside Train Station underpass.

In celebration of the inauguration of Arcadia’s 22nd president, Dr. Ajay Nair all members of the community are invited to join in a parade down Easton Road, attend the Glenside Station mural lighting led by Arcadia artists, and celebrate a new chapter in the University’s history alongside students, faculty and staff.

This fall, the Arcadia University community will celebrate a new chapter in our history during the inauguration of our 22nd President, Dr. Ajay Nair. Dr. Nair has chosen “Reimagining Our Higher Education Community: From Inclusion to Justice” as the theme for Inauguration Week, which will include activities that strengthen our campus community and encourage us to reimagine the future of higher education.

Inauguration Week will begin on Monday, October 8, and culminate in an Installation Ceremony and Celebration on Saturday, October 13. There are many ways to contribute to the planning and implementation of Inauguration events, which include community service opportunities, Family Weekend activities, and the “Glenside Knight” parade, food truck festival, and mural lighting.
