The Glenside Fire Company announced that the company’s Station 1 crew responded to a fire at the 100 block of Hewett Road on the evening of Wednesday, November 8.

According to the company’s Facebook post, arriving firefighters found smoke in the residence and requested aid from other fire companies in the area. Weldon Fire Company was among those that assisted, according to a Facebook post.

Crews located the source of the fire in a second-floor bedroom and worked to extinguish the flames.

No injuries have been reported. Scott Lynch, Cheltenham Township Fire Marshal, is investigating the incident.
