Caitlin McCalister has organized a Meal Train fundraiser on behalf of Moriah Strickland, a second-grade student at Glenside Elementary who was struck by a car in Abington Township last week.
Moriah remains in critical condition at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The fundraiser intends to support the Carmichael/Strickland family’s long-term hospital visits, meals, groceries, and childcare necessities during this time.
From the fundraiser’s description:
As you know a tragedy has befallen our community.
On Thursday evening, Glenside second grader Moriah Strickland was struck by a car in Abington Township and remains in critical condition. A gymnast, Moriah is a valued member of the Glenside community. She is an energetic, happy little girl who loves art, exemplifies Glenside’s school agreements, and is very kind and responsible.
Moriah’s family thanks the community for the supportive showing they have received so far. Our thoughts and positive affirmations are with the family at this incredibly difficult time. The meal train is set up in an effort to support the Carmichael/Strickland family`s long term hospital visits and childcare (Moriah has two siblings).
In addition to providing prayer and postive thoughts we would like to support meals, groceries and other unexpected expenses associated with Moriah`s needs.
