Cheltenham Township announced this morning that a hazmat cleanup is underway regarding a gasoline spill at York and Stahr roads.

According to First Responders, the spill has infiltrated the storm sewer system and Tookany Creek, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the Fish and Game Commission have been notified.

Officials encourage residents to avoid the area for the time being.
