James Tralie, a Fort Washington native, 2015 Upper Dublin High School graduate, and senior producer and creative director at NASA, has been selected as a Forbes “30 Under 30” honoree in the Media category.
From the announcement:
James Tralie is a senior producer and creative director at NASA, where he produces and directs TV shows, films, podcasts and digital content that explore alien worlds–while making the science of space palatable to more than 10 million who watch his coverage. A NASA film he directed, “Cosmic Dawn,” was acquired for distribution on Prime Video, and was shown at more than 150 planetariums and museums. He is an Emmy winner, a 10-time Webby Award winner, and his digital art has been exhibited in Times Square and the Las Vegas Sphere.


In 2024, Tralie produced and directed a documentary titled “OSIRIS-REx, To an Asteroid and Back”.
