Fetters Mill Fire Rescue performs multiple rescues due to flash flooding in Huntingdon Valley

The Huntingdon Valley Fire Company announced that members of Fetters Mill Fire Rescue (which includes Bryn Athyn Fire Company) performed multiple rescues of drivers trapped due to flash flooding and of drivers who drove into water on Philmont Avenue on Tuesday, July 8.

“A reminder that you are putting rescuers lives in danger when you choose to drive around barricades and into flooded waters,” the company said in a post. “It only takes 6 inches of moving water to move a vehicle. Turn around, don’t drown.”
